The importance of advertising your property online

As a letting agent situated in a busy town centre, we have noticed that the majority of property enquiries have changed from walk-in enquiries to online enquiries. In this day and age access to the internet can be found just about anywhere. Sales of portable electronic devices such as laptops, tablets and mobile phones has risen dramatically, meaning people are now able to surf the web at the touch of a few buttons.

In lettings this is invaluable. We as agents are able to advertise your property to a much wider target audience and therefore let your property quicker, and more importantly find you the right tenant.

The 2 main property portals are Rightmove & Zoopla. Each has their own websites, apps and even TV ads to draw consumers in and ultimately advertise your property to millions of people every day. Of course it will need to meet the potential tenant’s criteria but the point here is, you will get so much more interest if your agent is using these online portals.

I think it’s clear to see that now, more than ever, it’s vital that you choose a letting agent who uses at least one or preferably both of the main property portals to ensure your property is reaching the widest possible market.
